Ok guys I'm stumped on this one. My grandpa's computer is as followed...

Intel Celeron 2.4ghz w/ 128L2 cache northwood core
512mb DDR400 ram
Luck Star P4SAD motherboard with SIS645 chipset
80gig seagate harddrive
onboard video/audio
Chinese XP pro

ok here's the problem...IT CRASHES  like i've never seen before. Basically it crashes 2 ways.

1st way, it seems like explorer completely crashes. So I can right click, ctrl+alt+del doesn't work, the task bar and start menu and all that stuff at the bottem freezes...

2nd way, system completely crashes. Mouse/keyboard has no response, nothing works but a cold force restart.

Now i've tried alot of things already. I've ran a mem test and found out that one of the 256 sticks was bad, so i took it out and ran it on only one 256, still crashes. I reinstalled windows xp, still crashes. I checked the system temps, the cpu temp is hovering around 36, motherboard 38, harddrive 40, nothing out of the ordinary. SO WHY IS IT CRASHING!? Please help and respond fast, as I am leaving china in 5 days and I want to fix the computer before i leave. Thanks!

I'm on a chinese xp, so can you elaborate on what that icon looks like? And what should i look for after im in it?
