AIM virus

i got some virus from AOL, and it happened like i got an IM from somebody on my buddy list, and all it was was a link to somewhere, but thats all it was. so i clicked on it, and something got downloaded, something like picture006, but anyway, AIM starts going beserk and everything starts popping up from nowhere, so i closed it. the thing is, the person who sent me the trojan or whatever didnt know it was sent under their SN, because i asked them what it was and they didnt know what i was talking about. anyway, i got a total of like 8 viruses from it, and i was wondering if anybody knows anything about this, because its bugging me out, and im not going to risk signing on aim again until i figure it out. thanks
 
my sister got it on the family comp, its a pain to get rid of. I still havent got rid of it yet, i would recommend getting a program that controls and lock the start-up programs, then run a virus scan to delete everything.
 
Yeah dont click on anymore picture006.com links lol, its not even a picture extension, and i nkow about the virus, messes up a few things, and it sends EVERYONE on your buddly list the link, and also if you dont remove it sents it several most times when your signd on later, useAIMFIX to get rid of it, just do a yahoo shearch for it.
 
Forgot about AIMFIX, i never tried it before, i just use norton to clear mine up. And only click on the link if your expecting to recieve one.
