Alarm went off when e6600 oc'd to 2.6???

I was running my e6600 at only 2.6ghz and i wasn't even running anything, it was just on the desktop. Then suddenly my dual-core center started setting off an alarm and it said my cpu was at 7.2GHz!!!! I restarted it and set it back to default. Anyone know what that was all about. Could it have just been some glitch with the software and nothing wrong was happening at all?

BTW: I'd been running it at 2.6GHz for a couple of days with no problems.
 
It just was a glitch. Try again, and if it keeps on messing up, just ignore it or uninstall it.
