Alexa App on my Iphone

I just re-setup my Amazon’s Echo and I was required to download an app in which I did on my iphone. Now I am wondering if the “Alexa App” on my smartphone will use up any data up while not in use whether it is over wi-fi or on my carrier.

Just make sure you close it out fully. Not sure which phone you have but on my s20+ i just hit left menu button and choose close all open apps.

If you won't allow it any data, simply uninstall it.

I’ve got the 2nd generation Iphone SE. Just supposed to double click the home button then swipe up on the app to force it to close.
