ali m5289 sata driver for windows 7

Hello folks. I came across an old chaintech s1689 939 motherboard and cant get the sata driver to work. driver appears in set up browser but will not work. updated driver is needed. has anyone here encountered this controller with windows 7. I need direction in finding an updated driver.

In what context - the installer or in windows itself (i.e. you cannot see the disk in my computer)?
