alienware m11x R2 performance problems

I currently have a Alienware m11x R2 with the upgraded i7 + 4gb of ram. I mostly run World of Warcraft on the lowest settings possible but only get 10-30fps. My friend who has a Pentium 4 runs the same settings but runs smoother than my laptop. I have no virus and no known computer issues. I updated my video card driver and I still get very bad performance. I was wondering if other alienware m11x owners have the same problem.

I assume you have the 335M as a graphics card. A lot of people have an issue with the Optimus Technology. You notebook uses onboard graphics while doing basic tasks, when it detects graphics intensive task...it is supposed to kick on the graphics card. Well...a lot of them don't kick on.

Is there a way to adjust the setting in the Nvidia control panel?
