Alienware M14x r1 upgrading Motherboard to r2!?

Can you upgrade Alienware M14x r1 Motherboard to r2!?

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong part of the forum. But anyways as you can tell that I have an "Alienware M14x r1" I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade the parts in my computer. like putting an R2 m14x and what Processors will be able to be wit it!

The CPU I have is: "Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430M CPU @ 2.60HZ 2.40 GHz"
And also would when i upgrade my motherboard from R1 to R2 would that be a better GPU?

I don't know the difference between the two, so I personally have no idea. A lot of the times there are slight changes between hardware revisions that don't make it possible to do so.
 
I have been reading online that it is possible and works very well. Though if you decide to do this I would not be of much help.
