Alienware Motherboard

Hello,

I have a Alienware 51m 7700 laptop and I need to replace the motherboard. Alienware charges $279 for parts and labor just to ship the thing to them then they said the mobo will probably cost about $350. Surely I can purchase a motherboard for this thing online somewhere from a 3rd party vendor.... please enlighten me! Note I looked on Newegg, no luck. Thanks.

It's not exactly a simple process to swap out motherboards in a laptop. And there's no standard or anything so you definetly won't find it on a site such as newegg... Your best bet would be to find a used one on ebay, or maybe you can find one with a broken screen or something...

yea just look for your laptop on ebay, but look for it being broken, and really cheap, because chances are everything else insidee of it works great
