All data disappeared...

Last sunday all data on the HDD disappeared.
All the .jpg, .bmp, .doc, .txt....
After I noticed that I created some .txt files and they are still there.
In that time internet failed as well (and dosn't work still-it works on the laptop with desktop modem).
What might be the reason?

I'm doing Easy Recovery and it found arund 60GB of data.
I'm saving jpgs first, but from what I've checked most of them is damaged.
Is there way to fix them?

Any ideas?

Did you happen to have a power outage last Sunday? Drops and spikes can do bad things.

I would go to the drive manufacturer's website and download their diagnostic tool to check if your HD is failing.

Possible Hard Drive damage, Could be power outage, or misuse, you may need to get a new hard drive. Did you handle your hard drive before this happened???
