oh ya they'll be more than enough for that. now i'm not saying it'll run crysis at high FPS but it'll do fine with basic settings.

mini ITX are tiny. You would be able to use the case as a stand for your monitor, yet have a hell of a lot more power, quality and scope for upgrading than in the all-in-one system

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811154091

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131727

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116394

Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146736

Hard drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185

Wireles NIC: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320048

OS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116986

Monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824005196

total: inc shipping: $720

Things I may change would be the case + PSU, and if you really, really wanted, put the CPU up to an i5:

Apparently the CPU cooler is a very tight fit in that case too, as it is with most mini-ITX cases, so you may want to look into either another case (which I mentioned before) or a low-profile cooler.

I know too that I haven't included a DVD drive, and there is a reason - it takes up a hell of a lot of space. Unless you go for a slightly roomier case, I would recommend getting an external drive instead.

Whilst typing this, and doing a little more research, on reflection I would hugely recommend changing the case + PSU + getting a DVD drive, for ease, and to vastly improve quality and stability of the system.

Same build as above, but with the following replaced:

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112297&Tpk=pc-q11b

PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151085

DVD drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827118039

CPU (Optional upgrade, included in new price): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115075

New Total: Just under $888 inc shipping

the size of the case is 10.24" x 7.87" x 12.40", so you could use it as a stand for your monitor if you are really short on space or, as it is very small and relatively light, you could even wall mount it or put it on a shelf

that all-in-one pc there will do all you want it to.Aastii builds are more powerful but takes up more real estate and will be more cluttered(wires and what-not).if you are just doing everyday stuff with a little gaming go with the all-in-one.its alot smaller with way less clutter(one wire, power),its touch screen and more portable.

If you have ever used a touch screen, you will know how awful they are to use for any length of time. It rags your back and arms after even just a few minutes of use, and for certain tasks it just isn't practical, hence why it ships with a mouse + keyboard too.

And my build only needs 1 extra wire - to the monitor. Wireless network card, he can get wireless keyboard + mouse, so then he only needs 2 wires - power and monitor.

As for portability, I sort of agree, I suppose there is no way not to because with the all-in-one who have what is basically just the size of the monitor I put, but with mine you also have the base unit, but, so long as there is a monitor where you are going, that base unit is very small and isn't all that heavy, especially when compared to your standard computer, so if there is a display available at location B, no, the all in one isn't more portable because you are forced to carry a 23" monitor around with you, rather than a small box

Here's another I happen to know about :p (sig). SFF and still use standard size components.
Dual positioning and takes up very little space.
ATX/matx + up to ATX PS. Room for vc. There are ways of adding another internal hdd without using fan space.

All all-in-one units aren't really that great. If you had to buy one, I would only suggest the iMac, and yes I have worked with a lot of different all-in-ones. If you want to game I suggest building your own like what is already mentioned.
