all-in-one printer problem...

Hi, we have a Lexmark P3150 all-in-one (printer, scanner, fax) and it doesn't seem to want to scan right. You can see what it actually scanned but on one side it has a bunch of red dots, and the entire image is tinted blue. Just wondering how to fix that...? Could there be something wrong with the scanner's laser?

Have you tried a) updating the drivers or b) uninstalling and then reinstalling current software drivers that came on the CD?

And, yes, there is the possibility the laser is malfunctioning.

yes, it has the latest drivers. the problem is most likely a hardware, well...problem. It was sitting in our garage for 5 years in the cold and heat and that's probably what messed the heads up. I was hoping it was fixable, but i'm starting to realize that it probably isn't. At least not by me. We'll just get a new one...
