All my games are running slow

And they're using 100% of my cpu, which isn't very good to begin with...but windows 3.1 and dos games shouldn't do that. I ran all my antivirus and antispyware stuff on all user accounts, and nothing. So, here's a HJT log:

Hello!
Please open your Task Manager ( Ctrl+Alt+Del at the same time ). Go to the running processes tab. Find this process ( if present ):
CPU_RAM_Meter.exe
Click on it and choose End process.
It should be OK now. Is it OK?

When did you install that widget? I couldn't find anything problem related in the log and this looked suspicious since it's running from your temp folder and has a suspicious ID number between the brackets.
I'd try ending the process, maybe helps. If not, at least you tried.

Did you mention dos/old games...? Normally in windows, when you do something (Move the mouse, press a key), windows just tells the program "hey, something happened, you got some input!". Now, this doesn't work for DOS games and probably not for games designed for 3.1, so they would have to keep querying/polling/whatever the input devices if something happened; this "check for input" loop runs as fast as the CPU can perform it (there's no limit, so it can happen no matter how powerful the CPU is), which probably is why CPU usage appears as 100% when playing these games. I wouldn't worry, it's normal.

@GameMaster
I installed the widget way before the problems started. However I did try ending it but...nothing

@hackapelite
I run win 3.1 games with win 3.1, the real, licensed version, through a dos emulator, dosbox, it used to work just fine, but recently it has started spiking my cpu to 100%
It also does this for newer (relatively) games, like Halo and Star wars: Jedi Outcast.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I would find it typical for any fairly new computer game to use as much CPU power as possible. I'm not sure what the problem would be, if it started appearing just recently...

Maybe you could tell us your system specs?

I wouldn't think the GFX card drivers would have much of an effect on games run under DOSbox. It's always best to have up-to-date drivers, though.

What games do you play under DOSbox/3.1?

Well, my specs are...CRAP :D
onboard video, some ATI card xpress or something, oh Radeon xpress 200 with 256mb ram
Celeron D 3.2ghz
and a gig of ram
