All Rock Band Owners, I need some tips!!!

Hey Guys

Ive ordered Rock band and it will be here in a couple of days

ive done a bit of research and apparently the rock band drums are very nimble and very breakeable

Also ive heard of different mods that can shut them up a bit

can anyone tell me away to make them not so fragile??? they are expensive

and what is the easiest mod to shut the the things up a bit??

I have rockband for the wii and its great :) im actually better on the drums than the guitar. the drums are Not "fragile" as people say they are. I've had a guy play with my set and full on thrash them and their still perfect. not a scratch. they are Very loud when u hit them. it might not seem loud to you but from a far its very loud and annoying. I forgot which mod was the best. some people made a pretty odd one with tube socks and rubber bands (i saw it on youtube) but if your concerned with the loudness you can go pick up pad silencers for 20 bucks at a local walmart or target.
 
thanx, im just worried about the drum pedal mostly, my mates one snapped and ive seen some vids on youtube about them snapping
 
Snapping? i've never heard about the foot pedal snapping. To my the pedal is bit to hard to press. but if it ever snaps, there's a "mod" or alternative pedal that you can get at a music store. my friend has one hooked up to his keyboard (not computer keyboard). Its from Yamaha and all you need to do is plug it in or something like that and it will work as a rockband kick pedal but better
