All Settings Lost

Hey everybody.
I have a problem, that I hope is easily fixable. Last night I was on my comp., trying to rename my User Account (I have Windows XP Pro SP2). I ended up creating a new one, and naming it Derek. I already had an account named Administrator. They were both set as the administrator of the computer. So I turned off my comp., and then restarted it. When it loaded up, all my settings were gone (There were just a couple of programs still there) and I was logged in as my new account Derek. I went under the user accounts and the account named Administrator is completely gone. Now it is just Derek and Guest. I also went to Documents and Settings, and there was a Administrator file, that had all my files there. So it appears that all is not lost, but I am hoping I can get all my documents, programs, and settings back. How can I do this? Hope you can help.

Thanks a lot,
Derek

The administrators account will always be there in XP Pro, but when you created your new account you just aren't using the admin account, anyone can be an administrator, but THE administrator's account has to be there. You can copy the files from docs and settings from the administrator to your new profile

So there is no way to just get back my old settings? What would happen if I deleted my "Derek" Account? (Or is that possible)

Thanks a lot jjsevdt,
Derek

Heh nice job. I never both with multuple logins cuz im the only one using the system :D

Praetor, I didndt get what you just said...You mean you never mess with multiple logins? or did you mean what you typed? But in any case, I guess I screwed up pretty bad. (Well, it wasnt that bad, just inconvenient.) Anyway, apj101, I did what the link said, and It seems to be working great. I did it very quickly, and havent had a time to look around, but it seems to have worked.
Thanks a lot,
Derek
