The only differences between the two are the video card and the monitor... Should I pay the extra £90 for spec 2 with a better monitor and gfx card?

arent the gfx cards the same and the monitor is the only difference

if that were the case i would not spend the extra cash because you could get a much better monitor for that much extra

Going with build 2 would be worth the cash. The monitor upgrade is a very good idea, the 8ms to 2ms is a great jump, especially for gaming. The graphics card upgrade will help you out also.

Kinda of a shitty psu, is it the generic stuff? I would suggest you get a new one. And also for the 1st build, if it was up to me, i would drop the cpu to E6600 and see if i can squeeze out enough money for a 7900gt.

ohhhhh sorry i see, i need my glasses, yes i would go with the socond option as the monitor and GPU will make a nice difference
