Initial installation of parts and everything went easy like it usually does, everything seemed fine, installed windows still seemed fine started some updates and misc program installs and ended up rebooting for the updates upon reboot i got bsod, YAY. no matter what cant get the thing back to desktop so i start to reinstall again this time it takes 3x longer to actually boot the 7 disc, install and complete and is beyond slow and giving me all sorts of issues. i have tried reseating the ram, cpu and fresh thermal paste not the junk that came on the cpu,

The cpu is still at 60 c idle, still wont install or boot properly im not sure if this is a fauly cpu, mobo.

Is it possible that my psu isnt enough to power it all so its struggling i mean its not cutting in or out or anything.

my psu

i have had this psu for awhile its 500 watts which i would think is enough

I need ideas im literally about to just ship this junk back to newegg

It seems everytime i start a fresh install it takes longer and longer, ive tried re-applying thermal a couple times now reseating the heatsink and cpu and still the cpu wont drop under 55c and the fan is insanely loud right now its at 5k rpm.

I have it loaded to the desktop only took prolly 10 minutes or so lol to load into it and and another couple to be somewhat responsive.

I also thought maybe the 460 was the issue but i put my 8800 back in and still no luck.

at this time i am stumped and annoyed any ideas would be great, i was thinking about going to a local computer store tomorrow and grabbing a am3 board to test and see if maybe its just msi motherboard thats acting goofy or what.

thanks ahead of time

After reading a bunch of other reviews on this board it appears that there are numerous amounts of people having similar to same issues as me with the 955 be, im just gunna return the board and pick up a another. Hopefully ill be up and running after that.

It is an idea to check that there is no air bubbles in the paste, and also to make sure the fan isn't faulty,

I have brought a few faulty CPU heatsinks in my liftime ...:o

well i have re applied thermal twice, like i said after reading those reviews im leaning towards a junk mobo, heading to a computer shop shortly to pick up a gigabyte they have to see if that fixes my issue
