alternative tablet advice

I am looking to buy a tablet device for my cousin who has a learning disability. I have been reading reviews on the ipad mini and nexus 7 tablets, but have come to the conclusion that a ipad mini isn't appropriate and the nexus 7 has some drawbacks like only one camera. So can someone please advise on a good alternative to the two mentioned tablets please?

The currently shipping 2nd generation Nexus 7 has both front and rear cameras so that is one drawback you can check off. What other drawbacks do you feel the Nexus 7 has?

Have you considered if a micro sd card slot is important to you for extra storage ?

asus memo pad HD7, not as good as Nexus 7 2, but it is cheaper and has micro SD
