alternative to dvd shrink?

does anybody have an alternative program to dvd shrink that is also free? i tried to rip one of my movies onto my computer and got an error message "invalid dvd navigation structure" i'm not exactly sure what this means but i'm assuming its something to do with the encryption on the disk.
 
ecause DVDshrink is no longer updated, it can't handle the new sony or microvision copy protection being placed on some of the new movie releases, this can cause it to stop encoding or produce an error condition. DVD shrink can't handle this movie alone so.....
To get around this you could try a very good ripper/decrypter called DVDFab decrypter, it'a a whole movie ripper so you'll still need DVDshrink to reauthor the DVD if you want to remove any unwanted extras and shrink the files to fit onto a single layer DVD.Once DVDFab is done ripping, open the files using DVDshrink's open files tab and proceed using DVDshrink as usual.
