Alternative to Iphone

Is there an alternative to Iphone?

Ideally Id like a mini computer about the same size as an iphone with touch screen etc... That takes sim cards etc...

But with like a windows based OS would be cool... But really im not too fussy, just some thing thats:

1. A mobile phone lol
2. Has a resonable large touch screen (at least Iphone size)
3. Can surf the net fine and looks almost like a normal PC.

Any ideas? Or does it not exist...

Palm Pre....screen is slightly smaller than an iphone, but its an excellent phone with a very good homebrew community behind it, not as good as androids community, but webos is really a great interface IMO.

Are all of those are the same price as a Iphone....

So theres no cheaper alternative?

You didn't specify cheaper, you only said alternative.

As far as cheaper....check into the windows mobile phones perhaps...i really have no idea on pricing of phones over there, do you have a website where you would be buying a phone from by any chance?

I last used Windows Mobile OS 4 or 5 I can't remember, it's been forever. I wasn't too thrilled. The google droid phones look like a comparative to IPhone, but I just want the IPhone to come to Verizon, and I'd be all over it. Can't quite sell myself on the droids yet. Verizon always has the crappiest phones, but the better network (For my voice calls not dropping in IA (we have crappy coverage as it is)).

Acer Liquid. If you want a cheaper alternative to the iPhone with Android. Faster CPU than the 3GS and 2x the RAM. The camera is shit for 5 MP. Unfortunately, the company I work for is the only one selling it in NZ. Which means you would have to deal with me. :P

conversation is interesting. Im not big on phones. i have a basic cell with 450 rollover minutes and locked for 2 year contract. $40.00 a month. im thinking next i will get a pay as you go since im basic. i did do some research here on all the diff phones and pay plans if your interested. In 14 months i don't think ive used 2hr's total.

Samsung Galaxy S or Samsung Beam.

This is the closest alternative to having an Iphone. It has a large 4" screen, and then good touch sensitivity. It has a 1GHz processor, using the Android 2.1 OS. Camera is powerful with 5MP, and then it also has 3G, wifi, gps, video playback. Very nice phone indeed.

Plus, it has good user ratings! :good:
