Alternative to WinTV2000 ?

I brought is the "Hauppauge WinTV-Nova-t PCI" which is for UK freeview channels. Anyways WinTV2000 dosn't have an option to adjust the brightness or any colour changing options. Can anyone suggest any programmes compatible with the TV card that let me do this ?

Can i watch the Freeview channels on VideoLAN ?

sorry but i have personally went on a quest for stuff like this with my old ati tv card. there usually is what there is from the manufacturer sadly enough these things are very touchy.
