May 2nd Im gonna do my 1st build.

This is what I have:
CPU
case
O.S
HDD
SSD
heatsink CPU cooler
multiple fans
PSU
anti-virus
motherboard
ram
SATA 3 connectors : a few extra with extra length if needed
card reader ( feel free to laugh )
optical drive
GPU
compressed air
basic tool kit
extra fan extension connectors ( in case needed )

I will be heading to Rochester MN with a friend to watch the Mayweather vs Pacquaio fight. We will be doing the build that day down @ his place. I want to make sure I have everything I need to complete this build, because the closest computer supply store is about 90 mins. away.

Can you think of anything Im missing? Any connectors or parts I may need?

I do have all the peripheral needed.

Thanks again everyone

Not looking for anything specific. Just wondering if anything I'm missing to do the build. Don't need wifi card

It'd help you to a higher degree to have an actual parts list so you don't potentially buy anything that is incompatible.

Hopefully the motherboard comes with the F5 version of the bios since you will need it to support that processor.

Crap I hope so to. I just went with what the guy from microcenter was compatible with my cpu. Bundled at same time.

How do I find out if it has f5

Unfortunately, you won't know until you get it and it will either boot up with the processor in it or it won't.

If they're bundled together by MicroCenter then you're probably fine. BIOS updates can be installed by you or after a while the board you get in the box will already come updated. MicroCenter is good about being knowledgeable so if they told you it will work then they probably stock the boards with the necessary revision. You can only find out by actually using the board. It MIGHT say somewhere on the box but I doubt it.

According to this it needs F5 to be supported.

What????? I might not know if it works until I get it set-up? No friggn WAY!!!! I looked all over box and cant find anything out.
Id be pretty pissed off if it didn't work. I bought the mobo and CPU 3 months ago when on sale. They only have a 30 day return policy!!!!!!
They salesman rec. the mobo he gave me for this CPU.

Well, that's the chance you take, there are no guarantees that it will come with the latest bios.

About the only thing you can do is note the serial number and contact manufacturer to see if they have a record of what bios version is installed.

I am @ the gigabyte website trying to contact technical support but its mandatory that I enter my bios version to submit an email.

Just got off phone with microcenter tech. Took us a few minutes. But accordning to what we found out from the site Rev. 1.0 is F5 bios.
My box say rev. 1.0

Revision 1 is the first version of the board and it most likely comes with the original bios version. But you really won't know until you put everything together and try booting up. My guess is that you will need to update the bios, but in order to do that you will need a processor that is supported by original bios.
