I guess I am not doing something correctly. I (we) have been using a Cricket (modem) maybe that is the wrong word- the little Cricket 'key' to get online. There have been no problems. We also have a little notebook that is in the familyroom. I thought if the Cricket was plugged into the desktop upstairs and it was powered 'on', that I would be able to get online also at the same time, but so far haven't been able to. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

You need to make sure the device drivers are installed on each computer which the device is plugged into. Some times the drivers are installed automatically when you insert the device into the USB port. Some times the drivers come on a seperate CD. If neither of these work for you then there is the possibility that you can get on the manufacturers website and download the appropriate drivers.
