AM3 compatible mobo

I have a MSI K9A2 Neo mobo. It has the AMD 770 chipset, and an AM2+ cpu socket. I need to know if this mobo will support the new AM3 cpu. Any help?

According to MSI, it doesn't support any AM3 cpu.

I know that AM3 is somewhat backward compatible with AM2+, I'm just a bit confused, and wanna make sure.

Is it an MSI K9A2 Neo-F (MS-7388)
or an MSI K9A2 Neo2
or an K9A2 Neo2 (MS-7388v3.0)?

Would need to know so that I can point you at the right CPU support list.

Just remember when looking at the list the ones that are shaded in amber or peach may not work with your MB. They usually have a notation by them as well stating which PCB or BIOS number you need to have.

So be sure that the one you purchase has the same part number as the ones shown that are supported.
