AM3 CPU Restrictions

So I was looking at getting this motherboard , but says that...

(Note) If you install AMD AM3/AM2+ CPU on AM2 motherbord, the system bus speed will downgrade from HT3.0(5200 MT/s) to HT1.0(2000 MT/s) spec; however, the frequency of AM3/AM2+ CPU will not be impacted.

Is it worth saving money up and actually getting a AM3 board?

Phenom II AM3 processors are able to support up to DDR3 2000MHz memory speed, recognising DDR3 tech in AMD platform. Additionally with the ASUS TurboV intuitive overclocking utility and the easy-to-use ASUS Turbo Key, users can easily overclock and overvoltage the latest processors like never before.

Thats a old AM2 board, they just have a 1000/2000mhz. Hypertransport.

Buying a new board now, get atleast a AM2+ or preferably a AM3. AM3 has DDR3 and more upgradeability later on. Both AM2+/AM3 have a top Hypertransport speed of 2600/5200 HT. But the fastest Phenom so far just runs on a 2000/4000 Hypertransport.

But with a AM3 board, you would need DDR3 and a AM3 processor.
