AMD 7750 vs AMD 9650

I was wondering if there was any place where I could find a good comparison between the 7750 and the 9650? Would it be worth the upgrade from the 7750?

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

The Phenom 9650 only runs at a 2.3 gigahertz clock speed which is 400 megahertz slower than the Athlon 7750. The only increase in performance you would see is in multi-tasking. Everything else would be slower.

If you really want to upgrade I would go with a new motherboard that uses DDR3 memory and a Phenom II 550 processor.

Worth upgading? No, well, in my opinion of course, but im sure alot of other people will agree the same with me.

Mostly depends on what you do with your PC.

The 7750 is better in 90% of cases because of the much higher clock speed.

Here's a bunch of benches for you (sometimes lower is better, you have to read each one)

I would personally keep the 7750.

Looking at the CPU support list for your board, it supports pretty much all the latest CPU's even AM3's, just update your Bios before removing the 7750. How much was this 9650 going to be? For $75 you can get a 2.9ghz triple core that would beat those handily-

Not worth the upgrade in my opinion. 7750 is a very good chip, only upgrade if you're going to phenom 2's. From the looks of your chipset I'm assuming it's not compatible, stick with what ya got for now.
