Well, I just ordered an ASUS A8V DELUXE K8T800PRO and an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ CPU with 2 512MB RAM from Corsair. This will be in my week old case from Antec with a 460-watt PSU. I also have an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro video card as well as a Plextor DVD Burner.

Any opinions on this setup?

This a great mid level gaming machine.

The AMD 3000+ is currently the best "Bang for buck" CPU out there.
1 Gig of ram on (2) is also a great move, right into the hotspot area. And corsair is always a good way to go.
ATI is a very nice card, With 256Bit memory it runs at a nice bandwidth of 21.7Gb/s although 8 pipelines is not the best it is still a very nice video card.

if its only 128 you might struggle with some of the higher end games but thats a nice pc anyway. if your going to gaming though you might have to upgrade a bit more

A little overclock would help here ;)

But for a mid level system its ok, and should handle most top games ok

Great. I really am not familiar with the overclocking stuff. I had posted some threads on forums about it. I think I can't overclock my RAM though because it's the ValueSelect from Corsair. No biggy there but I am wanting if I can overclock the CPU to run it safely or not....
