AMD Athlon XP 2600+ hard to come by?

Just a few days ago, I checked two websites for parts and both had the XP 2600+ processor. Yesterday, I was to a computerstore, and the clerk said those were hard to find. I checked both websites yesterday, but then none of them had the CPU anymore.
Why is that? Is it really that hard to find it?

Because they felt like not selling them? :shrugs: It could be anything

They do sell crappier CPUs though. Doesn't really matter, really, it was "only" a matter of $30-$40, but the cheaper the better. And as long as I can get it..

But damn them.

Ah ok. Just get the XP2500 and you'll be set (its only 66Mhz)
