AMD back in the game?

AMD claims that they're back in the game, they're left behind for a long period since NVIDIA released their CUDA technology.
OpenCL was AMD's drive, but it was less used in all the big programs.
Now it seems that some known companies like Adobe will support this OpenCL with their next releases.

So if I'm reading this correctly, it's the next version of Premiere Pro which will have better support for AMD cards, not CS6 or the version which I have, CS5.5?

Shame they can't just release a driver which adds support, or even release a driver which works properly with Photoshop CS5.1 on Windows 8. Or if a driver wouldn't solve it, an update to Premiere Pro might.

Yes, maybe there will be an update. But for now it's only supported with the next version.

That's a shame. Would be nice if there was just an update for CS5 and CS6, but hey. :/
