I have an AMD FX-8320 that comes with the Cool & Quiet feature, should I turn this feature off in the bios before OCing?
If I don't turn it off, would that just set the max clock rate the CPU will utilize to a higher rate?
Right now it idles at a x7 multiplier for 1.8GHz and while stressing/use it goes typically up to x18 for 3.6GHz although it can go up to x20 for 4GHz.
If I set it to 4.2GHz max, will it just set the max load it will use higher?
IE: 1.6GHz to 4.2GHz
Current BIOS settings:
