amd cpu not right socket type need some advise before buying a new one

As above an FM2 CPU will not fit into an AM3 socket.

Based on your other threads, please do additional research before attempting anything else.

any am2 and up processor(am2, am2+ am3) will work as long as there is no square hole in the middle of the pins. this depends on what you plan on using the motherboard for. you can get dual cores cheap on ebay and some quad cores. if you are gaming you should aim for at least a quad core. processors that will not work would be 939, 754 and fm2. when in doubt always check the pin configuration as 939 looks very similar except for slight shifting of the pin gaps

Not really, the AM2+ CPUs didn't have a DDR3 capable memory controller.

You can put AM3 CPUs into AM2+ as they are pin compatible and have a DDR2+DDR3 memory controller, but not vice versa.
