amd dual core or single core?

for future gaming.... DEFINATLY dual-core... current gaming, then the single core... the only games out right now that would support dual-core's full potential is COD2 and Quake4, but future games will support dual-cores full potential... but most games now only utilize one core... wait a few months and most games will be made for dual-core

Dual Core hands down

The AMD X2 series is very good and beats out the intel dual core series in most sections. Its very powerful and futureproof. Its the way to go.

yea, and half the cache per core...
but the 3800+ is the way to go, it can be upped to 4600+ speeds without an overvolt.

why people bother asking this same question 20 times a day?

there should be a official thread showing dual core vs. single core cpus

Since most of us use our computers for more than "gaming", I am going to have to say go with the dual core.
