AMD Duron 1600 help

hi ive seen this cpu on ebuyer.co.uk. please could you help me out. firstly will it run xp smoothly if just used for surfing and emailing etc nothing major. secondly please could you direct me to a cheap motherboard and 256mb ram that is compatable with this cpu. i am new to this and any help would be greatly appreciated. that CPU is Socket A, soo you'll have 2 find a Socket A mobo that you like, then have 2 get the right RAM.

Are you sure you want to go with something that old? Tell me how much you want to spend total and I'd be glad to help you out.

for what they're doing that would be fine, even tho it's old it's reliable, i use my old socket a duron 1.4 ghz for a file server, works great
