AMD FX Bulldozer 8150

Not worth it compared to other processors for a little more. If you want it the 8120 isn't bad but neither are worth it really especially with the 8320 and 8350 being out now.

8320 if you are dead set on AMD.

Otherwise, an intel I5 3570k is the way to go if you want the best performance for gaming.

In all those links there was an OBVIOUS gpu bottleneck, there's no way all those CPU's are within 1-2 FPS of each other in real life.

Toms hardware does it right-

Encoding and rendering is about the only thing an 8350 is going to beat a 3570k at-

But lets not forget the 600mhz extra stock clock it has ;) However, even stock clock VS stock clock, a 3570k with destroy any FX cpu in all single threaded apps.

Fair enough. The overclockers club only had a regular 660, but the MaxPC had a 580, which I doubt is a bottleneck in most cases.

And in your benches, all scores were over 60fps, so I only see a difference if you have a monitor over 60hz.

That being said, I still would go with the 3570k if I were to build a new system, but that's only because a Microcenter is near me and its only $170 there.
