Amd motherboard has ATX 12v connector?

Hi,

I have an gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 socket 939 motherboard for an amd athlon 64 3200+ processor but what has got me confused is that it has an ATX 12v connector i thought them was only on the intel pentium 4 motherboards or are they an standard feature on the AMD ones?

They are present on all K8/K9 boards as well as select K7 boards :)
