AMD or Intel

So i am going to be making a computer using PCPartPicker and i cant seem to find which picture i want. I am looking at a Intel core I5 2500k and a AMD FX-8350. I will be using this computer for doing some pretty hardcore gaming so i want to get the most out of my value when it comes to the processor. Could i get some help about this from some tech geeks(not meant to be hurtful) out there? Here's my setup that i will be building.(http://pcpartpicker.com/p/UZMv)

If it is pure for gaming, go with the i5. But isn't there the option to take an i5 3570K? That cpu is newer and will perform a bit better.

Also, if you wait a month, a new generation i5s will come out, these will be faster and use less power.
Are you planning to overclock it?

The 3570K is a great processor for gaming. The 2500K is equally as good, but the 3570K is newer.

Hello,
As per my personal experience AMD is don't have that much name in market and also its processors catch heat quickly...

AMD and Intel are the only brands, the only reason some people only know of intel is because intel paid computer makers to only use their products for a while (very illegal and was resolved in court) when AMD's processors were killing theirs. But now AMD's are a bit slower and don't compete in the >200 area. As for the heat, sometimes they can get a little hot butnot much more so than an intel processor, that was most likely you installing it wrong

Are you planning on adding a Second card? Otherwise 750w is way overkill.

Go for a HD7950, i think 3gb is stock on those for a little more and they are more powerful, but if you aren't getting a 1440p monitor or adding more monitors later, then 3gb is overkill and spending 50 bucks on an extra gig is wasteful.

I'd wait for somewhere to get the 4570k in stock, microcenter has them if you are near one and they have the best cpu prices and combo deals with motherboards
