If I was to get one of these. Whats the best HSF out there that works with it?

I was gonna get a Zalman 9700 but it doesnt list that it supports AM3 or Phonem II?

Cheers

The full Zalman 9700 kit should come with the appropriate retention clips for the AMx class sockets. Make sure you have enough room in your case. It may not be one of the largest heat sinks out there, but it is still quite large.

Just a word of advice... the 9700 isnt the best cooler for quads, id recommend a TRUE or a xigmatek S1283, or a coolermaster V8 as they perform superbly on quad cores.

Yeah I was just gonna ask for other ideas as I cant seem to find a 9700 anymore.

What sort of OC would I be able to get on one of those?

Second on the V8. It's a beast. It can also be a bit of trick to install in tight spaces.

haha when/if I get the actual parts. Ill probably just get a shop to do it for 40 bucks. I built my own plenty of times but never done a non stock hsf and plus its easier that way and warranted haha.

Depending on other factors with your system, the 940 has been known to post stable 3.6GHz speeds. The Coolermaster V8 should have plenty of thermal capacity to play with.
