Amd phenom x4 9950 vs phenom II X4 940

Is there a huge difference vs them? I bought the x4 9950 being stupid just wondering if its a huge difference in performance.

ya the p2 will kill the 9950 in overclocking and staying cool and pretty much everything else

Like said, the Deneb core Phenom II AM2+/AM3 is pretty much a better core all around. 45nm. vs. 65. Three times as much L3. Faster clock for clock. Overclocks better and runs cooler.

Yep the P2 is suppose to be on-par with a Q9550 I believe.

So its a quality chip vs the 9950 which was just a failure of what AMD was shooting for.
