C CmoAMD New Member Nov 5, 2005 #1 Im getting the X2 4400 on my system. I almost went with a AMD 4000, because the X2 is almost a little overkill for my needs, but it will do greatly. Anyway.... is there another AMD thats not X2, and not FX thats high end?

34erd New Member Nov 5, 2005 #3 You could try getting the S939 Opteron 146 or or whatever thats being sold on newegg, its only 2.2 Ghz but it has the CABNE stepping which usualy hits around 3 gighertz on air if you've got a system to match... Alot cheaper also than an FX.
