AMD Radeon HD 6670 dual monitor question.

I am running the Radeon 6670. I was using a 32 Inch Dynex for a primary monitor and was using a 32 inch Insignia for the secondary. The previous Graphics Card, ran both without issue. I added the new Radeon, and switched up a little. I am still using the 32 inch, but I want that to be my secondary monitor and purchased an 26 inch insignia for my primary. Here is the problem

I have the 32 inch Dynex running through HDMI, there is only one HDMI port on the AMD card.

I am trying to get the 26 inch to run through DVI. But, I am running it with a (Best Buy purchased), DVI to VGA adapter, then out to VGA to the monitor. Its is not being recognized.

The AMD software I am using, Catalyst Ver. 12.6 (Latest), has no option to "allow" for multiple displays that I can see. AMD website says there is, but their visual shows an older version of Catalyst. This version just seems to have a "Detect" button.

ANy idea of what I may be doing wrong here? The DVI-VGA adapter worked fine (And still works fine) on my other display with the other card, but neither this new display or the old one are recognized.

One last question. There are three ports on the back of the card. One HDMI, one DVI-D and one other one. The documentation states that the other one is a DVI port. Looking at a DVI cable, the cable package says DVI/HDMI1. But the HDMI cable plug is completely different from a standard HDMI cable. WHat is this and am I looking at it wrong? Should an HDMI cable be able to plug in there? No?

Thanks
Jeff

The other port is most likely called a display port. You'll need a special cable to use that port.
