AMD releases socket AM3

It still uses the AMD 790FX chipset though, so all it is is an AM2+ board with DDR3 sockets instead of DDR2.

Which means its a AM3 board, DDR3/AM3 hint, plus the socket only has 938 pin holes. AMDs memory controller is on the processor, the northbridge has nothing to do with if its a AM2/+ or AM3. There is nothing wrong with the 700 series so why not? Plus they are releasing the 800 series chipset pretty soon.
