AMD SATA Controller

Ive been told to download and try AMD ACHI SATA Controller for my new SSD... However I can not find this on AMD site... I have found it at random download sites but dont know whether to trust something that I cant find on AMD official site...

Any ideas where it is or if anyone has used on and its legit?

If your running 7, its the same one that comes with it. Its on the CD that comes with the board. Or at Asus if thats the board your running.

Ah so if I downloaded the drivers from Asus site for my board I should have it already?

Its included in the chipset driver. If its in AHCI mode and you just run the chipset driver.

See if there's a new one from Asus before you install the SSD.

Make sure your SSD has the latest firmware ebfore you load anything onto it as well.
