AMD vs Intel

Alright once and for all, everyone here at the forum who wants to get a laptop for school are wondering pretty much the same thing.
Forget budgets right now, forget brands, forget displays and forget RAM.
We're talking processor speed, processor performance, battery life, temperature and maybe even price pound for pound.

Alright so it's obviosly AMD vs Intel.
Intel has Centrino and Duo processor, AMD has Turnion which is the only one I can think of, I am not an expert, I am indeed a customer seeking for answers.

So which is the best porcessor, which one will work with Vista, are we expecting new Processors soon?

If you are talking about just the two processors themselves.. then there are many threads on this subject and even polls too.

However, if you are refering to laptops.. Which, I find it hard to understand from your sentencing if that is what you are talking about or not.. Then, I would say my vote would go for Intel.

I am not sure, but I think I might have seen that AMD has a dual core Turion also. I am not sure if it refers to the same thing as Intel's dual core, but the dual core title is there.
