AMD x6 1055T temps, higher than they should

Hey guys i just got a 1055T and a coolermaster hyper TX3.
Ive installed it with the thermal paste that came with the cooler, and i belive my temps are higher than they should be Idel at 38c and under 100% load 58c should be lower right? mabey i applied the paste wrong? what would the best method be with that cooler?

Oh and also i have the vcore set to 1.375 (stock) but cpuz and hwmonitor show 1.375 - 1.41 its always changing

I do not know about the vcore of AMD.

What is your ambient temperature?

And did you use the thermal pad and the thermal paste together?
 
Your Temps are not outrageously high.
They are just a bit above from what they ideally should be.

Did you apply appropriate amount of paste??
Which should be one rice grain size drop at the center of the CPU.
And also did you spread it out yourself or let the heatsink do it for you?

There is a possibility of formation of air bubbles, which happens when you apply the paste then place the HSF and then lift the HSF up again and then put it back.
And air is not the best conductor of heat.
 
Ok ive took the hyper tx3 off gave it and the cpu a clean. realized there's air gaps either side of the 3 copper rods so i filled the gaps in with thermal paste then cleaned it all up again so the paste was only in the gaps, then proceeded as normal with the rice grain method. now ive overclocked from 2.8GHz to 3.33GHz on stock voltage and my idel temps are 36 and under 100% load stress test gets to 56. closer to what i would like but from what ive been reading with other peoples reviews its still warmer than theres and they have higher overclock than me. but it must have helped droped 2c and i overclocked it 500MHz.

You need a better cooler dude, the TX3 is suited to Athlon quads and the like, not a hex-core. It will work, but to get better temps and better overclocks you need a better cooler. Since you're Aussie, check out www.pccasegear.com - I get most of my parts there.
 
ok but surely its better than the stock cooler right?
droped my voltage from stock 1.375 to 1.31 5 hours prime95 stable all ive stress tested so far, idle temps are 35 and during prime95 toped out at 53

well ive got it down to 1.225v @3.33GHz its 2 hours stable now im leaving it on overnight bout to go to bed will report tomoro how it goes. From what ive been reading it should be stable with this setup.
 
That's heaps better, If you want a really good stress test, do 50 runs of IntelBurnTest on maximum.
 
9 hours stable so far max temps has been 49

ok it seems it idles at 32 with c&q enabled and loads at 50
