well the best way to overclock is through a software to test then to overclock properly with the bios and running intensive cpu apps have u read praetors oc faq 101 should you buy what anyway the bios which is already on the mobo which you get or the processor called amd64 which is in the title and yes you should just buy a processor just to overclock sure that would be good

also when you overclock doesnt it decrease your cpu life i.e. will fans be sufficent to overclock

Assuming I understood that, any of the FX series is the best to overclock.
