AMDs new CPUs?

...most games cant take advantage of so many threads, at this time and place...it would not be a good budget to spend on, espically considering amd is roughly half the instructions per clock cycle as intel...
 
aha! im learning new things everyday! So it wouldnt be smart to get these CPUs for a gaming rig will it?
 
yeah i thought so, i have to try and get the cash together for the 960 Thuban then and a ASRock 870.

AMD stopped sending the Phenom2 and Athlon2 CPUs to stores and stuf. found this out the other day
 
They stopped sending Phenom2 and Athlon2 because the stores have more then enough for the holiday period! Meaning there is enough supply for the demand...
 
We all knew it was coming. But unlike some stores, newegg doesnt say how many are in stock, so we dont know when they stop getting something.

AMD just didnt stop sending them out to stores and it doesnt have anything to do with the holiday period. They stopped making the Phenom II and Athlon II about a week ago. So each model will be in stock untill stock at AMD runs out. They are still making and selling the 960T because its the only X6 with disabled cores, so they are still using up all the X6 with bad cores till stock is gone. In time the 960T will no longer unlock to a X6 because they will have had bad cores from left over defective stock.

ohh well the 906T is a good CPU with 4 cores anyway, well what ive read on reviews without the CCU enabled on it
