an easy guide for learning Excel?

Could anyone recommend a very easy guide for learning Excel? With steps for a beginner? I'm sure that it is easy to learn, but need a step-by-step guide. Thanks in advance.

These are for 2013, but I don't have 2013. I have 2007 available.

I personally find the Microsoft guides a bit dry and not great to follow.
John Walkenbach has a great range of books tailored to Excel 2007.
