An ip trace question.

So im gonna make a new football/sports forum, my last one had problems with people creating multiple usernames and spamming the chat and forum.

Im not very good with computers so I was wondering if you guys could help me out. Is there anyway I can get some kind of tracer so I can check usernames that I think are being made by the same person with the intent to spam?

have u tried to use the e-mail of the person as the identity, and so the person that try to create 2 users then he must want to put his e-mail and his corret info.

Or just use a pre made forum which lets you alter everything , but has all functions for u.

www.phpbb.com is a great and free forums on which u have a complete adminstration of the forum.
try it try also to integrate it with mambo webserver.

This forum is vBulletin, it allows you to ban user names and IPs.
