Seems to me that my backup computers are getting slower and sloooower.... seriously..

System 1:

(My Ex main rig)

Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHz (crashed so decided to set back to stock speed)
DDR333 Generic RAM 768MB
Seagate IDE 160GB
P25G Pc Chips
DVD Drive
52x Drive
Powork 600W w/ 24A @ 12V...

The hard drive has gone thru around 10+ reformats within these months... It's getting slower and slower... why???? Is it because I went with teh E4300 and gotten used to teh fast speed? Thanks!

Have you done any cleanup? CCleaner, a free registry cleaner like Eusing, AV, AS?

If so then yeah, you've probably just gotten used to the speed-demon.

Hmm...

1. Disk cleanup around 5-8 times an day
2. Defrag 5-19 times an day
3. Clear cookies , history, files, favorites every time I log off IE.

Or maybe its the noise?

Try to send a HJT log. Or do you think your pc is clean? If you don't, send it right here, and I'll check it up for you.

Umm... yeah.... :D

Maybe its F@H...

I downclocked it from 2.96GHz back to 2.8 when it crashed while playing halo an few minutes ago, seems like its old speed has come back...

I'm pretty sure its clean.... I just reformatted it last week...
