nvidia looks like theyre about to get owned in this round. i think i might have to sell some old parts and plan my next build on a couple of 4870's in crossfire. nvidia is really running out of excuses for the overpricing of their new products.

The medium range cards (in price) are always the ones to decide the battle, ATI with it's very solid footing might as well own Nvid. this time around, I agree. Anyways it's situations like this that give all enthusiasts reason to dance, tough competition is lovely..
 
Price wise ATI HD 4870 is better but performance and quality wise NVIDIA GTX 280 outperforms ATI. ATI always have issue with their drives and Catalyst takes up shit load or resources when it runs. IMO if you want quality product you need to open up your wallet....
