Android OS

I saw an internet site linked through Stumble - Upon showing me an available download of the android OS for my PC? Does this run as a normal operating system (Windows 7, Snow Leapord, etc.)?

Could you post a link to the site? I'm not familiar with Android being on anything other than tablets and Android-powered phones.

I found this with a Google search Android-x86 and this Android x86. I've never tried it so I can't comment on it.

I saw some links to installing Froyo 2.2 in a VM on VirtualBox so it's been done.

Yeah, one guy actually put Android on his CR-48. Kinda pointless, but still cool. You know why you can do that with Android? Because it's open-source. Take that, stupid Apple.

Interesting. Downloading now, going to do a vm in the morning i think. If it's any good, i might do some more with it so i can do some app work for it..

VM = Virtual Machine

It's a machine implemented in software. Try virtualbox.org. It allows you to install an OS without the need for a physical machine.
